    Mark III Construction is currently hiring for an electrical detail advisor to add to our virtual construction team in Sacramento, CA. The Electrical Detail Advisor works closely with the Electrical Trade Specialist, modelers, detailers, and design team during and after the preconstruction phase of Design-Build, Design Assist or Hard Bid projects. This position is also responsible for creating basic designs and outlining installation techniques and strategies that support internal and external goals of the project. The Electrical Detail Advisor will work with the productions team and develop project budgets based on material installations along with means and methods.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Supports the designer by developing and providing details, mean and methods, sizing, code compliance on design build, design assist and integrated projects for permit submittal.
    • Identifies construction requirements for projects based on estimate, scope, contract, page turn and specifications.
    • Applies detailing and prefabrication strategies to a design during the virtual construction process and translates those strategies to the project team at the project start-up through the virtual construction scope.
    • Creates and documents value engineering solutions; which include identifying various design solutions and quantifying specific cost elements that are affected.
    • Keeps electrical virtual construction manager abreast of changes and modifications that are made during the process that are communicated through the Project Manager.
    • Compiles information/documentation from project breakdown meeting, such as WBS, construction schedule, preconstruction schedule, work orders for fabrication, to control or monitor all deliverables with dates sent to virtual construction coordinator.
    • Provides support to field personnel before and during the construction process. Translates the design intent to the field through one on one sit down explaining installation drawings that incorporate assemblies, details, materials, and estimated hours for the projects.
    • Creates “feedback loop” through periodic contact to the field to assist in ongoing coordination and QC from start to finish of the project.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Must have minimum 15 years of field experience in the electrical trade
    • 5yrs+ experience as a Foreman managing projects, personnel, schedules, budgets and scopes
    • Must have the ability to work in a team environment and open to adopting new technology
    • Experience working on projects that have utilized BIM coordination, kitting, and spooling of material
    • Knowledge in electrical codes
    • Proficient in cross referencing plans across all trades
    • Basic computer skills, Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam and PlanGrid
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment while working with large teams
