    Mark III Construction is currently seeking an experienced Safety Officer for all Mark III offices. This position will evaluate the safety protocols followed by various job site visits and oversee all safety trainng for employees.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining current policies and create new safety guidelines for the company

     

    • Conduct regular job site inspection audits, prepares written reports of findings and recommend corrective or preventative measures
    • Be knowledgeable in OSHA standards. Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards. Maintain OSHA procedures and forms
    • Lead investigation of all injuries and incidents. Assess and produce documentation for review on all injuries, incidents, near misses and first aids
    • Conduct safety drills on site
    • Create and maintain safety standards per each task (JHA)
    • Hold safety meetings for all employees
    • Conduct new hire safety training
    • Maintain safety training, safety files and records for current employees, scissor lift, forklift certifications, first aid, CPR, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, etc.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Must have 10 years of construction field experience with at least 5 years of safety management
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety is a plus
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to train, influence, listen and motivate the team
    • OSHA Training
    • Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
    • Clean DMV Driving Record
    • Electrical knowledge a plus
